Freshmen may choose from the Resident Dining Meal Plan options.

Captain’s Cash is a tax-free declining balance that can be spent at any on campus dining location. As the money is spent in places such as the Food Court, On the Fly, Simply-To-Go, and the coffee shops, the purchases are subtracted from the beginning balance dollar for dollar.

Your Captain’s Cash can also be used in the Dining Hall in addition to the meal portion of your meal plan. Catering trays from our Catering Department, Chick-fil-A, and Mein Bowl may also be purchased with Captain's Cash.

Every meal plan includes Captain's Cash, but more can be added to your account at any time. If you would like to purchase more Captain's Cash, simply log on to your campus banner account or contact our customer service department.

Starting Fall 2023, Monday through Friday between the hours of 2:00 PM-4:30 PM, the Skyhawk Dining Hall will now be closed. We do not typically get a lot of customers during that time because it's right after lunch service and right before dinner service, but we know sometimes student's schedules may only allow them to have time to eat during those hours. Now, students on a Resident Dining meal plan will be able to use a "Meal Exchange" meal swipe in the Food Court to receive a set meal from one of the three locations, instead of using Captains Cash during those hours only.

The Skyhawk Dining Hall is “all-you-care-to-eat” for every meal, seven days a week.  We welcome you to eat as much as you wish, but we do encourage you to think healthy. Take only what you can eat, and you are always welcome to come back for seconds!

We also offer a quick grab-and-go option at the Simply-To-Go Kiosk in the Skyhawk Dining Hall. At these kiosks, you can use a meal swipe to get an entrée, side, dessert, and a drink to go!

No, every student that comes in the cafeteria must swipe in at the front registers.

Captain's Cash will roll over from the fall semester to the spring semester with the purchase of a spring semester meal plan. Captain's Cash will NOT roll over from the spring semester to the fall semester.

Captain's Cash is non-refundable. Any Captain's Cash remaining will be lost if not used by the end of the spring semester.

Please refer to "What is Captain's Cash" to know where and how Captain's Cash can be used.

No, we do not allow for outside meals to be eaten inside the cafeteria.

Yes! Special needs such as dietary, religion, work, or class conflicts should be brought to the attention of our Executive Chef and General Manager. We will do whatever we can to assist you. Contact John Depaola, General Manager at (731) 881-7771.

No. All students must use their own valid Skyhawk Card to dine. Students who allow others to use their card to dine will be charged a $25 fee. However, if you have an All Access meal plan, you can invite a guest to dine with you and use 1 of your 5 Guest Passes.

All we ask is that the student is present upon payment when using their Skyhawk Card. If your card is lost or stolen, please contact Customer Service.

Meal Plans are always active throughout the semester. However, UT Martin Dining Services will be closed during these breaks: Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Spring Break, and Good Friday/Easter Weekend.

All Meal Plans must be paid during Fee Assessment (first two weeks of each semester) or a Payment Plan must be set up through the Bursar's Office located in the Administration Building.

Yes, meal plans can be changed up until the first week of classes each semester. Please visit the Skyhawk Dining Hall office or call Customer Service if you would like to change your meal plan.

Unfortunately, we do not accept Chick-fil-A and Starbuck's gift cards.
